These terms are the agreement between you and Leonardo Phithak, Killick Street, London, UK (“we”), who runs Bookplate at app.bookplate.eu. By creating an account you accept them. The privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
Your account and your library
Bookplate is a free, private place to keep track of your reading.
- You must be at least 13, and use an email address you can receive mail at.
- Keep your password to yourself: you’re responsible for what happens in your account. One person per account.
- What you add stays yours. We only store it and show it back to you; we don’t publish it or use it for anything else.
- You can download everything and delete your account at any time, in Settings. Download a copy now and then of anything important.
Using Bookplate fairly
Don’t use Bookplate to break the law, to upload things you don’t have the right to use, to get into other people’s accounts, to overload or attack the service, or to create accounts automatically. Accounts have limits on how many books, words and pictures they can hold.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless it’s urgent, we’ll tell you why first and give you a chance to download your library.
Changes, and if Bookplate closes
We work to keep Bookplate running and your data safe, but can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and features may change.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email you at least 30 days before. If we ever close Bookplate, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email so you can download your library.
Responsibility and law
Nothing here limits responsibilities the law doesn’t allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, as Bookplate is free and for personal use, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses. Book details, covers and word definitions come from outside sources and may contain mistakes.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protections of your local law and can go to your local courts.
